Like nearly every human on the planet, there are things I wish I could change about myself.
When it comes to physical appearance, I struggle with acne, I have a bump on the bridge of my nose that makes me loathe my side-profile, and there's a 4-inch-long scar across my chest that I spend far too much time and effort trying to hide.
In a society that values and strives for visual perfection, simply existing as a young woman with personal insecurities is particularly challenging.
