Xbox Live is down and players are *pissed*

Xbox Live is down.

That harsh reality hit thousands of gamers Thursday afternoon as they desperately tried, and failed, to log into the gaming platform. And they are pissed.

Microsoft confirmed the problem in a tweet, as well as on the Xbox Live status page. 

"We are aware that some members may be having problems signing in to Xbox Live," noted the service page. "We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, and we will be sure to provide you with frequent updates."

Hey everyone! We're aware that some of you are having trouble signing into Xbox Live - the right teams are hard at work to get everything working again. Thanks so much for all your patience!
